Pups, Mutts and Pedigrees

About Pups, Mutts & Pedigrees

From needing help to helping others

Living with a dog whose behaviour can be challenging has given me a very personal understanding of just how much it can affect everyday life. I’ve been the owner searching for answers, needing support and wondering what to do next. That experience became a huge part of the journey that brought me to where I am today.

A Little About Me

Hi, I’m Michelle!

My journey into dog behaviour work started much closer to home than I ever expected.

Living with Tig and navigating her behavioural difficulties gave me a very personal understanding of just how challenging life can become when your dog is struggling.

In this video, I share a little more about my journey, how Pups, Mutts and Pedigrees came to be, and why helping other dogs and their owners means so much to me.

Why choose me?

I know how important it is to feel comfortable with the person you’re trusting to help you and your dog.

My approach is rooted in understanding behaviour, recognising the emotions behind it and finding practical ways to support both you and your dog.

In this video, I talk a little more about how I work, what matters to me and what you can expect when we work together.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MY DOGS

Both Tsar and Tig came into my life from overseas, bringing very different backgrounds, personalities and needs.

Tsar, my Tibetan Mastiff who has now sadly passed away, also went through a changing health journey which eventually included becoming deaf.

Tig, my Romanian rescue, has brought a very different set of challenges again.

Living alongside them both has given me another layer of personal understanding to bring to my work as a behaviourist, particularly around how a dog’s history, health, senses and individual experience can shape the way they respond to the world around them.

Part 04 • The final chapter

In loving memory of Tsar

A very sad update on Tsar, my soul dog.

She passed away on 19th January 2026, with me by her side.

Her story doesn’t end here.
It lives on in everything she taught me.

I was blessed to have her in my life.

Rest easy, my girl x
