Dog Training & Behaviour Support in Walsoken
I’m Michelle LeBourn. If you live in Walsoken, you may find your dog behaves quite differently at home and when there is more happening outside. That difference is worth understanding, not blaming either of you for. From my base in Marshland St James near Wisbech, I offer individual training and behaviour support, beginning with a conversation about the moments you would most like help with.
When familiar skills become difficult outside
Coming back when called in a quiet room is not the same experience as responding around passing dogs or people. One-to-one dog training lets us look at those changes in context. We can work on recall, lead pulling and staying engaged with you, using reward-based practice that takes account of what your dog finds distracting or difficult.
For a puppy, that may mean building foundations before expecting too much in busier streets. For a worried or reactive dog, behaviour support means considering anxiety and comfort alongside training. I won’t treat a dog’s distress as a failure to follow instructions. We can discuss manageable ways forward rather than rush straight into challenging situations.

Choosing where a session begins
Your home may be the most useful starting point if we need to understand routines or introduce early learning. Another agreed location could suit a particular goal, but we’ll consider the environment before arranging it. A puppy consultation lasts 90 minutes, followed by one-hour appointments if further support is needed. Sessions are at home or an agreed location. Please share your Walsoken address so we can confirm availability and travel details, rather than assume an appointment from the place name alone.
A free consultation without a prepared script
You don’t need a formal description of your dog’s behaviour to book the free 20-minute consultation. Tell me what happens, what worries you and what you’ve already tried. I’ll answer initial questions and discuss whether my support seems appropriate. We can think about a suitable session format together, without promising a particular result before I understand the dog and the circumstances.
Considering guidance online
Online sessions are available if a home conversation suits you better than arranging a visit. We can discuss the situations you’re seeing and how they affect your day. I’ll be honest about whether online support is a useful fit, especially where practical work outside may require a different approach. It is an option to consider, not something you need to decide before contacting me.
Qualified support, with your dog in mind
I hold BCCSDip.ProCanBhvPct, am fully insured and canine first aid qualified. I’m recommended by local veterinary practices, the RSPCA West Norfolk and Second Chance Spaniel Rescue. My work is ethical and reward-based. I’ll listen to the details you notice, because the person living with a dog has an important part in understanding what is happening and finding realistic next steps.
Questions about support in Walsoken
Can you help when my dog listens at home but not outside in Walsoken?
We can discuss the differences between those settings and work on relevant skills. The starting point will depend on your dog, not just the final goal.
Would a quieter appointment location be possible?
We can agree a suitable location, including your home where appropriate. We don’t have to practise in the most challenging environment first.
Do puppy sessions include time for questions?
Yes. The initial consultation is 90 minutes, with one-hour follow-ups. Your free 20-minute consultation helps us discuss what you need before arranging training.
