Dog Training & Behaviour Support in Emneth
I’m Michelle LeBourn. If you live in Emneth and would like help with your puppy or dog, I’ll listen first and shape our work around what matters in your everyday life. Training should feel understandable and achievable, not like a test you or your dog can fail. We can talk about early puppy skills, recall, lead pulling, anxiety or reactivity, and decide together what kind of support could fit.
A start that suits your puppy
Puppies are learning about people, sounds, handling and the rhythms of a household all at once. I can help you make sense of settling, toilet routines, mouthing, confidence and the first steps towards enjoyable lead walking. Rather than give every puppy the same checklist, I’ll ask what you’re seeing and what you’d most like to make easier.
An initial puppy consultation lasts 90 minutes, giving us room to talk and work at a pace that suits your puppy. Follow-up sessions are one hour. They take place at home or another agreed location, where we can consider the details of your puppy’s real routine.

Training for the life you share
With an older puppy or adult dog, we can work on skills such as recall, loose lead walking, focus and settling. If your dog pulls towards exciting things or finds coming back difficult, we’ll look at what happens before, during and after the moment, then choose practical steps to practise. I use reward-based training and adapt it to your dog and household.
Village lanes and surrounding farmland can offer very different distractions from home, but any work outside depends on the dog, the conditions and what we agree is suitable. We won’t place a dog in a difficult situation simply to practise.
Support with worry and reactivity
If your dog reacts to other dogs, people or passing activity, or seems anxious in particular situations, you don’t need to arrive with a perfect explanation. We can discuss what you’ve noticed, where your dog feels more comfortable and what would help you manage the day in the meantime. I’ll take their emotional wellbeing seriously and avoid pressure or punishment.
We can begin with manageable, individual steps. If a situation is too much for your dog, that is useful information, not a reason to push harder. Any training plan needs to make sense for both of you.
Available in Emneth and online
I’m based in Marshland St James near Wisbech. Face-to-face availability depends on the address and what is suitable for the session; please share your location when you enquire. We can confirm appointment and travel arrangements rather than assume a visit is available from the village name alone.
Online sessions are another option if a visit is not suitable or you’d prefer to talk from home. We can discuss which format best fits your questions during a free 20-minute consultation.
A thoughtful, qualified approach
I hold BCCSDip.ProCanBhvPct, am fully insured and canine first aid qualified. I’m recommended by local veterinary practices, the RSPCA West Norfolk and Second Chance Spaniel Rescue. Those details sit alongside how I approach this work: ethically, with care for the dog in front of me and honest conversations about what support can and cannot provide.
The first step is simply to tell me a little about your puppy or dog and what you would like help with. There is no need to decide in advance what kind of appointment you need.
