Dog Training & Behaviour Support in Guyhirn

I’m Michelle, a behaviourist and dog trainer offering individual support for puppy owners and people concerned about their dog’s behaviour. If you’re in Guyhirn, we can start by talking about what you need: perhaps help with puppy life, or support around anxiety, reactivity, recall or lead pulling. I won’t make assumptions about your dog from a short description. Listening to your experience is the first part of finding a thoughtful way forward.

One-to-one puppy help

Puppies learn through everyday experiences, and their needs can change as they settle into your household. I can help you consider useful foundations and the questions that matter to you, while keeping the work relevant to your puppy rather than following a generic checklist.

The initial puppy consultation is 90 minutes. Any follow-up session lasts one hour. I can meet at home or at a different location agreed beforehand, where the setting is appropriate and the appointment can be arranged.

For worries about behaviour

A dog who reacts on lead or seems anxious may be having a hard time, and that can make ordinary outings feel difficult too. I can help you examine the circumstances and what your dog might need. We can also work on lead pulling and recall in a way that takes account of the whole picture.

I use reward-based methods, with care for the dog’s comfort and emotional state. I won’t offer a guarantee or ask you to ignore signs that your dog needs more space. We can discuss practical options and build skills thoughtfully.

Finding the right place and format

Riverside paths and busier streets may bring different challenges if they are part of your dog’s routine. Tell me where things become difficult and what is happening around you. We’ll consider an appropriate setting for practical work rather than automatically return to the place your dog finds hardest.

I’m based in Marshland St James near Wisbech. Just let me know your address and I’ll confirm travel and the best way to work together, whether that’s at home, somewhere we agree, or online.

Meet by conversation first

I offer a free 20-minute consultation before you decide whether to go ahead. We can discuss what is happening, what matters to you and whether face-to-face or online support seems more appropriate. Online sessions are available as another option, but suitability still depends on the issue. You’re welcome to ask about what we can discuss remotely and what might need a different approach before arranging anything.

Careful steps with qualified guidance

I hold BCCSDip.ProCanBhvPct, am fully insured and canine first aid qualified. Local veterinary practices, the RSPCA West Norfolk and Second Chance Spaniel Rescue recommend my work. The most useful next step is the one that fits your dog’s needs and your day-to-day reality.

I’ll help you consider what might be manageable now, while being open about what I can and cannot offer. Every dog and household is different. My approach is ethical and reward-based, with patient guidance and practical support rather than a fixed timetable or promised outcome.

Questions about support in Guyhirn

Do you offer face-to-face sessions in Guyhirn?

Please discuss your address first. I’ll confirm travel and appointment arrangements during the free 20-minute consultation rather than promise a visit to every address.

Can you help if busy streets make my dog anxious?

We can discuss what your dog encounters and how they respond. A quieter or familiar starting setting may be more appropriate than practising straight away in those streets.

Can we arrange online puppy or behaviour support?

Yes, where appropriate. I offer online sessions and can discuss whether they suit your questions during the free consultation.
