Dog Training & Behaviour Support in Parson Drove
I’m Michelle LeBourn. If life with your dog in Parson Drove feels harder than you expected, I’m here to talk it through with you. Maybe you have a puppy and want a thoughtful start, or perhaps your dog pulls on lead, struggles with recall or reacts to people and other dogs. I’ll approach your concerns without blame and make space for the individual needs of both you and your dog.
Build your puppy’s confidence gently
Puppies benefit from support that fits the way they experience the world. I can help with settling, toilet training, mouthing, confidence and early handling or lead skills. We’ll discuss what your puppy is already finding easy and where you would like guidance, then work at a pace that feels comfortable.
An initial puppy consultation is 90 minutes. Follow-up sessions are one hour. We can meet at home or at another location agreed together, depending on what is suitable for you and your puppy.

Skills for walks and everyday life
Recall and loose lead walking can be frustrating when the environment is more compelling than the person holding the lead. I’ll help you look at how your dog responds and what might help them stay engaged. We can work on practical foundations and realistic practice, rather than relying on repeated instructions that your dog may not yet be ready to follow.
Fenland droves, farmland and village streets bring different surroundings. We’ll decide whether an outdoor location is appropriate for your dog instead of assuming that every route will suit every training goal.
Take reactivity and worry seriously
If your dog barks, lunges, avoids or seems anxious around particular situations, it is worth looking beyond the visible behaviour. We can talk about what tends to happen, what helps your dog feel safer and how to manage difficult moments while considering training. Lead pulling can be included too if it is part of the concern.
I use reward-based methods and won’t ask you to force your dog into a situation they find frightening. The work should be individual, considerate and practical enough to fit your real routine.
Appointment options and travel
I’m based in Marshland St James near Wisbech. For Parson Drove, please share your address rather than assume a home visit is available. We can confirm appointment suitability and travel arrangements during the free 20-minute consultation, including whether another agreed location makes sense.
Online sessions are also available. If meeting in person is not the right option, we can discuss what can be addressed online and whether that format would be useful for your circumstances.
Credentials you can ask me about
I hold BCCSDip.ProCanBhvPct, am fully insured and canine first aid qualified. My work is recommended by local veterinary practices, the RSPCA West Norfolk and Second Chance Spaniel Rescue. I bring an ethical, reward-based, individual approach and will explain my thinking as we consider what may help.
You don’t need to prepare a formal account before contacting me. A few words about what has been happening and what you hope might change is enough for us to begin a useful conversation.
