Dog Training & Behaviour Support in Wisbech St Mary
I’m Michelle LeBourn, based near Wisbech in Marshland St James. If you’re in Wisbech St Mary and want help with your puppy or dog, we can begin with what is happening at home and out in the world. I offer one-to-one, reward-based guidance for the small skills that make daily life easier and the bigger behaviour concerns that can leave you feeling uncertain.
Puppy support shaped around your household
A new puppy needs time to feel at home and learn how to manage everyday experiences. I can help with settling, toilet routines, mouthing, confidence, handling and getting comfortable with a lead or harness. We’ll choose priorities that make sense for your puppy and consider how to keep practice gentle and achievable.
The first puppy consultation lasts 90 minutes. Follow-up sessions are one hour. Sessions can happen at home or an agreed location, giving us the option to discuss and practise in surroundings that suit your puppy.

Everyday learning with an adult dog
Perhaps your dog pulls when you walk, or recall becomes difficult when something more interesting appears. I’ll help you think about what your dog is responding to and which skills might be useful to build. We can work on attention, loose lead walking, recall and calmness in manageable steps, using reward-based methods.
A riverside path, farmland or a busier street may form part of your routine, but I won’t assume it is an appropriate place to train. We’ll discuss your dog’s needs and the conditions before choosing a setting.
Support for reactivity and anxiety
When a dog reacts or seems anxious, it can be hard to know how much space to give them or what to try next. I’ll listen carefully to your account and ask about the situations that are difficult. Together, we can consider what might help your dog cope and how to reduce avoidable stress while working on relevant skills.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer. I’ll respect what your dog is communicating and avoid methods based on intimidation or forcing them through a fear. The pace and setting need to be right for the individual dog.

A qualified and ethical approach
I hold BCCSDip.ProCanBhvPct, am fully insured and canine first aid qualified. I’m recommended by local veterinary practices, the RSPCA West Norfolk and Second Chance Spaniel Rescue. My approach is individual, reward-based and attentive to the reasons a dog may be finding something difficult.
Whether your concern feels straightforward or complicated, you can tell me what you have observed without needing to diagnose it first. We’ll talk openly about what might be useful and what the next step could be, without promising a particular result.
