Dog Training & Behaviour Support in Walpoles

I’m Michelle LeBourn. This page covers the Walpoles: Walpole St Andrew and Walpole St Peter. If your dog’s needs are making life difficult, the village name is only part of the conversation. I’ll want to understand your household, your walks and what you’re hoping to work on. From Marshland St James near Wisbech, I offer individual, reward-based support rather than expect every owner to need the same advice.

A plan for the life your dog actually leads

Rural surroundings don’t automatically make training straightforward. A dog may be distracted around farmland or uncertain about activity on a village lane, even if they settle easily at home. One-to-one dog training can address recall, lead pulling and engagement with those differences in mind. We can focus on what you need, not what a generic checklist says to teach next.

Puppy training gives you space to discuss early foundations and confidence before expectations grow. Where reactivity or anxiety is involved, behaviour support considers your dog’s emotions and the situations that bring difficulties out. I use ethical, reward-based methods and won’t ask you to force a dog through something frightening just to practise.

Meeting in either village by agreement

A session may take place at home or another agreed location, depending on the work and what suits your dog. Please tell me which village you’re in and your precise address so we can confirm travel arrangements and availability. The initial puppy consultation is 90 minutes, with one-hour follow-ups at home or an agreed location. We’ll choose the arrangement together; covering the Walpoles on this page isn’t a promise that every address or outdoor setting is automatically suitable.

A free first conversation

The free 20-minute consultation is an opportunity to talk about what you’re experiencing. Perhaps you know exactly which skill you want to work on, or perhaps training and behaviour concerns seem mixed together. We can discuss those questions and whether my support is appropriate. I’ll listen to what matters to you rather than turn the conversation into a commitment to a particular programme or result.

Online guidance is another option

Online sessions may suit you if arranging a visit is difficult or you would prefer to talk from home. We can discuss routines, observations and the questions you want to ask, then consider whether remote support fits. Some situations may need another arrangement, and I’ll be honest about that. You don’t have to rule out getting in touch simply because you’re unsure how an appointment would work.

Qualifications and recommendations

I hold BCCSDip.ProCanBhvPct, am fully insured and canine first aid qualified. Local veterinary practices, the RSPCA West Norfolk and Second Chance Spaniel Rescue recommend my work. Those are the existing professional details behind my service; the approach you can expect from me is thoughtful, individual and reward-based, with room to ask questions about why we are choosing particular steps.

Questions about support in Walpoles

Does this page cover both Walpole St Andrew and Walpole St Peter?

Yes. Tell me your precise address so we can discuss a suitable appointment and confirm travel arrangements rather than assume every part of both villages is covered alike.

Can we work on recall around rural distractions?

We can discuss that goal and choose an appropriate starting point. Any outdoor location needs to suit your dog and the work we agree.

Is online support available for the Walpoles?

Yes. We can consider online sessions in the free 20-minute consultation, alongside home or agreed-location appointments where suitable.
